On November 10th 2012, Perrier Award nominated comedian, author, explorer and air recycler Tim FitzHigham is a man with bad ideas. He rowed the Channel in a bathtub, attempted to recreate the 10 greatest bets in history and now takes on his greatest challenge to date.In this new pilot recording for BBC Radio 4 Tim will attempt to win the bet accepted by William Douglas, Fourth Duke of Queensberry, back in the 18th Century, that he could make a letter travel 50 miles in one hour.Join us in the historic BBC Radio Theatre to hear about Tim's attempts, tell us how you'd do it and find out how Tim got on, with Alex Horne on hand to ensure that Tim only uses means available in the Duke's time and sticks to the spirit of the bet.
