Marc Wootton will join the cast of Nick Payne’s new play The Same Deep Water As Me when it opens at the Donmar Warehouse later this year.Arguably best known for his role as phoney psychic Shirley Ghostman in his own television series High Spirits With Shirley Ghostman and La La Land, Wootton’s other credits include the RSC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the National Theatre’s production of Season’s Greetings on stage and the Nativity films and The 11’ O’Clock Show on screen.Joining Wootton and the previously announced Daniel Mays, Nigel Lindsay, Joanna Griffin, Peter Forbes, Monica Dolan and Niky Wardley is Isabella Laughland whose theatre credits include Wanderlust at the Royal Court and Greenland and The Last Of The Haussmans at the National Theatre. On screen, she is well known for her role in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince alongside the popular film series’ leading man and star of The Cripple Of Inishmaan Daniel Radcliffe as well as Channel 4 series The Inbetweeners and Black Mirror. Directed by John Crowley, The Same Deep Water As Me tells the story of two of Luton’s finest personal injury lawyers Andrew and Barry.
