This Is England revisits the characters of Shane Meadows' multi award-winning hit film. Acclaimed director Shane Meadows' first ever television series follows the lives of Shaun, Lol, Woody and their gang of friends. The three-part festive treat, scripted by Meadows and Jack Thorne of Skins and The Fades fame, sees the return of Thomas Turgoose as Shaun, Joseph Gilgun as Woody and Vicky McClure as Lol - three of the main characters from Shane Meadows' original 2006 film This Is England. This Is England '88 will be shown in three hour-long episodes over three consecutive nights on Channel 4, beginning December 13 at 10pm. It will be followed in 2012 by This Is England '90, which will focus on the ecstasy-fuelled rave scene of the era.Steve Brody will be appearing in the new series, playing the part of Richard.
