New Radio 5 Live show with Helen Zaltzman and Olly Mann

Helen Zaltzman and Olly Mann have been commissioned to present a live three-hour radio special for BBC 5 Live's Bank Holiday schedule. In 'Helen and Olly's Required Listening', the podcasters will explore the world of alternative radio - from their contemporaries in the world of web broadcasting to the unsung heroes of local radio. They'll meet those who create extraordinary audio from their sitting rooms, community centers and far-flung corners of the globe. The show will air from 1.00-4.00pm on 27th August, and will be produced by Trevor Dann's Company. It is Helen and Olly's third outing as presenters for BBC 5 Live, where they also appear each week as the internet experts on 'Saturday Edition'. In the week of 20th - 24th August, Olly Mann will also be presenting on LBC 97.3FM, sitting in for Duncan Barkes as host of the overnight programme.
