Matilda has been nominated for a Theatre Award UK for Best Musical Production

The re-launch of the Theatre and Theatre Management Awards UK celebrates and honors the creative excellence and outstanding work seen on stages throughout England, Scotland, Waled and Northern Ireland. The awards wil be presented at a lunchtime ceremony by the Chief Executive of the TMA, Julian Bird, who commented:“The nominations for the 2011 Theatre Awards UK demonstrate the strength and excellence of theatre, dance and opera throughout the UK. From new plays to innovative site specific theatre to some truly outstanding performances, all are represented in this year's shortlists.
