For the first time ever Radio 6 Music will host its own music festival. It will take place on Friday 28th February and Saturday 1st March 2014, at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. With over 30 artists including Damon Alban and HIAM playing across the two stages this festival looks set to be a yearly fixture!As well as the musicians and DJs there will be a host of Radio 6Music presenters including PBJ clients Chris Hawkins, Mary Anne Hobbs, Matt Everett, Shaun Keaveny, Stuart Maconie, Mark Radcliffe, Mark Riley and Murray Lachlan Young. And of course no festival would be complete without a fringe, the 6Music Fringe Festival will take place next door to the Victoria Warehouse. It features rooms named in honour of some of the stations favourite bands including, 'Talking Heads' a spoken word stage consisting of interviews with some of the bands and poetry readings and 'Cornershop Record Fair' with stalls selling records from independent shops around the UK.If you were unable to get tickets don't worry as Radio 6 Music presenters will be at the festival, broadcasting live from 1pm until midnight both days.
