Stu Richards

Stu creates narrative TV comedy, which he writes and sometimes directs. His first sitcom, Jerk, ran for three series on BBC Three – the Mirror gave it five stars and the Guardian said Stu and his co-writer had created a “Larry David for a new generation”.

He then co-created, co-wrote and directed Bobby & Harriet Get Married for Comedy Central, followed by the Channel 4 sitcom Brad Boyz and, most recently, the BBC mockumentary I Am Darren, starring Josh Pugh. In unscripted television, he runs ITV’s The Assembly through his production company, Rockerdale Studios. He is currently putting the final touches to his debut novel.
