Sindhu Vee is an award-winning comedian, writer and actor.

Since swapping a career in investment banking for comedy a decade ago, Sindhu has garnered roles in several high profile television series and films while completing several successful comedy tours in the UK, India, and America.

She can currently be seen starring as the co-load in THE PRADEEPS OF PITTSBURGH on Amazon Prime; and lending her voice to the Netflix animated film THAT CHRISTMAS, written and directed by Richard Curtis and starring Brian Cox as Santa. Next year she will be seen in the Amazon Prime romantic comedy PICTURE THIS, alongside Simone Ashley.

Film credits include Kristin Scott Thomas’ directorial debut NORTH STAR alongside Scott Thomas, Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller, and ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL on Netflix where she played the beloved character of “Mrs. Phelps.” She can also be seen in the critically acclaimed series SEX EDUCATION and FEEL GOOD, both streaming on Netflix. She has twice appeared on BBC Two’s LIVE AT THE APOLLO and has appeared on BBC panel shows MOCK THE WEEK, QI, and HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU.

In 2018, Sindhu took her debut hour, SANDHOG, to the Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for “Best Newcomer.” After the Fringe, the show saw two sold-out runs at the Soho Theatre as well as a 92 date UK tour. Also that year, she wrote and hosted her own series, SINDHUSTAN, on Radio 4.

Also prolific in the podcast and radio space, her shows include “Child Labour with Stuart Goldsmith and Sindhu Vee” for Radio X; “The Things My Mother Never Told Me About Lockdown” on Radio 4; and she’s a regular on “The Guilty Feminist” hosted by Deborah Frances-White.

Originally from New Delhi, she currently resides with her family in London.

Superior comedy… Exceptionally funny.
