Kathy is an award-winning character comedian, drag performer, writer and actor. She's fresh off a 'Tour de UK' as The Cycling Man - middle-aged, newly single, he's spent the salary of an NHS nurse in Decathlon. The show was named one of the best reviewed shows of the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 and the character also features in viral online content (@kathykathymm). This follows Kathy's 2023 debut Objectified, an absurd character comedy show where she brought to life a variety of maligned objects. The show and its subsequent tour was nominated for 4x awards, was called ‘charming’ by The Guardian and ‘An exquisitely realised, understated delight’ by the Scotsman.
As a writer she has studied with the National Film and Television School and created sketches in the writers room for BBC Radio 4's DMs are Open, and POV (where she also featured as a performer). She is currently working on scripts for film and TV - a pilot adaptation of The Cycling Man is a finalist in the Female Pilot Club script competition 2026. As an actor, she has appeared in several comedy shorts, most recently Joz Norris' short film/pilot The Happiness Project and sold out Edinburgh Fringe and London runs of comedy play Brainsluts.
She was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023, is the Sketch Off Winner 2020, a So You Think You're Funny? Finalist 2021 and, as The Cycling Man, was a finalist in Europe’s biggest drag king competition Man Up in 2023.
