Jon Hunter is a highly-experienced writer and script editor for television, audio and live comedy.
He was awarded the prestigious BBC Radio Comedy Bursary and has written for and script-edited dozens of audio comedy shows and podcasts including long-running stints on The News Quiz and The Now Show

He has written on TV shows as diverse as Sky 1’s Trollied, BBC1’s Death Valley, and CBBC’s Danny & Mick, as well as supplying jokes for several shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week amongst many others.

He co-created and wrote the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Party’s Over and is head writer on the Audio Academy Award-winning Nature Table.
He wrote the Open University’s ’60 Second Adventures in…’ and ‘History of…’ YouTube series which have had millions of views online.
A prolific gag writer, Jon has written jokes and script-edited speeches and stand-up sets for many high-profile comedians and celebrities and directed Holly Walsh’s Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated show Hollycopter and Never Had It and Susan Calman’s The Calman Before the Storm.
